Shri Balaji Sports Complex A & Shri Ram Sports Club win North Delhi District Kho Kho Championship

Shri Balaji Sports Complex A won the North Delhi District Kho Kho Championship played at Joseph and Marry Public School, Burari here on Saturday. The championship was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sudhanshu Mittal, President – Kho Kho Federation of India, Guest of honour – M.S. Tyagi, General Secretary Kho Kho Federation of India.

The Championship was organized by North Delhi District Kho Kho Association President Jitender tyagi and General Secretary Dr Shubhra Kathuria and Chairman Virender Tyagi. Special Guests present were Jagat Thakur and Manin Thakur, Owner of Joseph & Mary Public school, Vinod Goel, Chairman Kho Kho Association of Delhi and S.S. Malik General Secretary Kho Kho Association of Delhi.

In men’s event, Shri Balaji Sports Complex A beat Shri Ram Sports Club A in finals. As many as eight teams — Mavi Physical Academy, Shri Ram Sports Club A, The Nishta Foundation, Joseph and Marry Public School, Burari Club, Shri Ram Sports Club – B, Shri Balaji Sports Complex – A, Shri Balaji Sports Complex – B– participated in the competition.
First semi-final was played between Shri Ram Sports Club B vs Shri Balaji Sports Complex – A. Shri Balaji Sports Complex -A won by 5 points and one inning.

Second semi-final was played between Shri Ram Sports Club -A and Shri Balaji Sports Complex -B. Shri Ram Sports Club -A won by 11 points and one inning.

Whereas, in girls’ event, Shri Ram Sports Club stole the limelight. As many as six teams– Shri Ram Sports Club, Joseph and Mary Public School, Timarpur F Club, The Nistha Foundation, Mavi Physical Academy and Chhatrasal Stadium — featured in the girls’ event. First semi-final was played between Joseph and Mary Public School and Shri Ram Sports Club. Shri Ram Sports Club won by 10 points. Second semi-final played between Chhatrasal Stadium and Mavi Physical Academy, which was won by Chhatrasal Stadium by 10 points. Shri Ram sports club defeated Chhatrasal stadium by three points and one inning.
