Jake Paul’s next fight could be against someone who knows him better than anybody else: His own brother.
Paul is coming off of a win over the legendary Mike Tyson, a bout that headlined a Netflix-exclusive event that was announced to have drawn in over 108 million viewers. Suffice to say, Paul’s level of recognition has never been higher and he can likely pick anyone he wants to be his next opponent.
Appearing on his brother Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, the two had a playful conversation about potentially fighting one another.
“Who are you fighting next?” Logan asked, to which Jake replied, “Everybody.”
When Logan suggested himself, Jake said, “Yeah, I’ll fight you. Why not? You’re f*cking tiny.”
Logan pointed out he is taller than Jake, leading to a juvenile back and forth between the brothers, who have both made the transition from being YouTube stars and social media influencers to successful combat sports entertainers. Jake is now 11-1 as a pro boxer after the Tyson win, with other notable victories over Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, and Mike Perry, while Logan has become a standout performer for WWE.
While a fight is unlikely to happen, both Pauls agree it would be a good business move. However, they disagree on who would be leaving the ring with bragging rights.
“Me and you fighting, it would go crazy,” Logan said.
“It would just be good,” Jake said. “I would be down because it would suck to be the one that has to deal with losing, but I wouldn’t be the one that would have to deal with that.”
“I have the opposite perspective,” Logan said. “I feel like ruining my little brother’s boxing career would be so bad and mean. People would be, like, ‘You’re such a bad older brother’ like they already say, ‘but now you ruined his career as well?’”
Logan hedged his bet saying that in a different kind of fight not restricted by traditional boxing rules, he favors himself to beat Jake, who is also signed with the MMA organization PFL. However, he also showed concern for his brother’s health with the younger Paul now having a dozen fights under his belt.
“Do you really think you could beat me?” Logan asked.
“Yeah, you’re like the seven days,” Jake said. “You’re ‘week.’”
“Your roasting is f*cking trash,” Logan later added. “I’m also concerned in general about you. At first, this podcast, you’re like, ‘I’m brain-dead.’ I was like, ‘Ha.’
“Now I actually kind of think you are.”
