Williams Formula 1 junior driver Zak O’Sullivan has been announced at Kondo Racing as part of a 13-strong Toyota roster for the 2025 Super Formula season.
After driving on the final day of the Suzuka post-season test earlier this month, O’Sullivan will race Kondo’s #4 car full-time next season, joining Kenta Yamashita at the squad.
The ex-Formula 2 racer was one of three international drivers who participated in the Suzuka test along with fellow Briton James Hedley and his former F2 rival Juan Manuel Correa.
O’Sullivan replaces Kazuto Kotaka at Kondo, but Kotaka will remain on the grid as part of the newly-created TGMGP TGR-DC team.
The team, which carries the name of Toyota’s domestic young driver programme and boasts sponsorship from communications company KDDI, will utilise staff from Servus Japan, which ran the TGM effort this year with Honda engines.
Kotaka is joined in the team by fellow Toyota junior Hibiki Taira, while Seita Nonaka, who impressed testing for KCMG at Suzuka this month, is named as reserve.

Elsewhere in the Toyota line-up, Sacha Fenestraz is confirmed as Sho Tsuboi’s team-mate at TOM’S as the Argentinian driver takes on a double programme that will also see him return to the marque’s SUPER GT roster with Team SARD.
Ex-Jota World Endurance Championship racer Oliver Rasmussen has also earned a full-time seat with Team Impul off the back of his test showing this year.
The Danish driver joins Mitsunori Takaboshi at Impul, as the Nissan SUPER GT regular steps up from his previous role driving Toyota’s development car.
KCMG (Kamui Kobayashi/Nirei Fukuzumi), Inging (Sena Sakaguchi/Toshiki Oyu) and Rookie Racing (Kazuya Oshima) all feature identical line-ups to this season.
There is no room in the expanded Toyota roster for Ukyo Sasahara, who was another driver to test for Kondo but lost out to O’Sullivan in his bid for a full-time seat with the team.
